Kids Kitchen

A hands-on nutrition program whereby children learn basic cooking and nutrition skills in a fun atmosphere. The goals are to encourage children to become more involved with preparing nutritious foods and to encourage teachers to include nutrition and food in many subject areas. The CHEP nutritionist offers the program in cooperation with the classroom teacher, the community food coordinator and university nutrition students. KidsCAN was recognized with a national award in 1998.

Kids Kitchen is a skill development and nutrition program offered to grade four five students through a partnership between CHEP and the Catholic Schools.  Kids Kitchen is a kids cooking program consisting of  six 5-week sessions.
