Pork Links was a direct linking of hog producers and city families in an alternative market. CHEP facilitated city families to pool their orders for meat and to purchase direct from producers. Farmers received a fair price for their hogs; city families received top quality pork. Both city folk and farm folk benefit from the increased understanding that develops from bringing rural and urban communities together.
