Oniro the Greek Dream Feast

Sheraton Cavalier, October 18, 2003

Dear Business Colleagues & Friends:

We invite you, your friends, and your business associates, to be proud sponsors of the Saskatoon Greek (Hellenic) Community’s Fifth Annual Fundraising Gala Event, this year titled ONIRO – “The Greek Dream” Gala. It will be held on Saturday October 18th, 2003, at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel in Saskatoon. This year our gala will feature a sumptuous meal of authentic Greek cuisine, live music and entertainment, and the ever-popular Silent Auction.

Oniro, meaning “The Greek Dream” refers to the dream of providing nutritious food to low-income children in Saskatoon so they can become great students and citizens of our community. Your sponsorship will enable us to raise much-needed funds for the Good Food Inc. (CHEP) – a charitable organization. The 2002 event raised a profit of $20,000 towards charitable food security programs in our community.

CHEP helps children and families have improved access to healthy and affordable food through a number of community-based programs including Children’s Nutrition Programs (over 275,000 nutritious meals served last year to children across Saskatoon) and children’s hands-on cooking and gardening sessions. CHEP programs focus on good nutrition and impact more than 1500 children every school day.

We are offering several levels of sponsorship ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 with recognition and appreciation as outlined on the attached Levels of Sponsorship Information Sheet. This event will enable your organization to demonstrate to your customers and associates your commitment to a healthy, vibrant community.

Your financial assistance is extremely important and corporate sponsorships will help us achieve our fundraising goals. Sponsors will be gratefully acknowledged at every opportunity, including the evening program and through the media. Additionally, our corporate sponsors receive event tickets to Oniro – “The Greek Dream” Gala evening..

If you would like more information about our event, please contact Karen Archibald at 306 – 655-4575, or visit our website at www.chep.org. We would be pleased to receive your response by July 15, 2003.

Sincerely,

Karen Archibald
Oniro Fundraising Committee
